Palm Coast Library Launches Free Weekly Chess Club for All Ages

Chess enthusiasts in Palm Coast have a new place to sharpen their skills and connect with fellow players. The Flagler County Public Library's Palm Coast branch is now hosting a weekly Chess Club that welcomes everyone from beginners learning their first moves to seasoned players looking for challenging competition.

When and Where to Play

The Chess Club meets every Tuesday from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Palm Coast library branch. The sessions are drop-in style, so no advance registration is necessary—simply show up ready to play.

What to Expect

During each session, participants have the opportunity to practice chess tactics, study new opening strategies, and test their skills against other community members in friendly matches. The open format allows players to focus on the aspects of the game they're most interested in improving.

Open to All Skill Levels

Whether you're just learning how the pieces move or you've been playing for years, the club provides a welcoming environment for players at every level. It's a chance to enjoy the mental challenge of chess while building connections with neighbors who share a passion for the game.
