Bings Landing Boat Launch Closing June 1 for Three-Week Dredging Project

May 21, 2026

Boaters planning to use Bings Landing in Palm Coast will need to find an alternative launch site for three weeks starting June 1, when Flagler County begins dredging the boat basin.

County officials announced Wednesday that the boat launch will be closed for the duration of the project, which is expected to wrap up before the Fourth of July holiday.

What the Project Involves

The dredging work will deepen the basin's floor in its deepest areas, improving navigation and access for boaters. Interim County Administrator Adam Mengel said the county is partnering with the Florida Inland Navigation District to complete the project.

Timeline

The project is scheduled to take approximately three weeks, with work beginning June 1 and completion targeted for late June—in time for the busy Independence Day boating weekend.
