Flagler County Students Explore UCF Campus Through Mentorship Programs

High school students from across Flagler County got a firsthand look at college life this week during a guided campus tour of the University of Central Florida, one of the nation's largest universities.

The visit brought together students from Flagler Palm Coast High School and Matanzas High School, giving them an opportunity to explore UCF's facilities and envision their future educational paths.

Community Programs Partner for Campus Visit

The tour was organized through a collaboration between two local mentoring initiatives: the Flagler County Education Foundation's Take Stock in Children program and the African American Mentoring Programs for Boys and Girls.

Take Stock in Children provides comprehensive support to participating students, combining mentorship with scholarship opportunities to help them achieve their college goals. The African American Mentoring Programs offer dedicated mentorship experiences for boys and girls throughout the Flagler County School District.

Both programs work to expand educational opportunities and prepare local students for success beyond high school.
