FPL Burying Power Lines in Palm Coast to Prevent Storm Outages

Florida Power & Light is burying power lines in neighborhoods across its service territory, including Palm Coast, as part of an effort to prevent storm-related blackouts and strengthen the electrical grid.

The utility announced it's continuing its Storm Secure Underground Program, which replaces overhead power lines in residential areas with underground infrastructure designed to withstand severe weather.

By moving infrastructure below ground, FPL aims to reduce both the frequency and duration of weather-related power disruptions.
