Old Kings Elementary Students Collect Easter Items for Kids With Cancer

April 4, 2026

Third graders at Old Kings Elementary School are proving that small hands can make a big difference. Members of the school's EarlyAct club recently collected Easter treats and items for children battling cancer through Live Like Cameron, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting young patients and their families.

Young Students Step Up for Community Service

The student-led initiative is part of EarlyAct, a Rotary-sponsored youth service program affiliated with the Flagler Beach Rotary Club. The program introduces elementary school students to the principles of community service and operates under the Rotary motto "Service Above Self."

In addition to gathering Easter items for children with cancer, the OKES third graders rolled up their sleeves to participate in a cleanup of their school grounds, demonstrating their commitment to serving both the broader community and their own campus.

Building Future Community Leaders

EarlyAct clubs are designed to help young students develop leadership skills and a sense of civic responsibility from an early age. Through hands-on service projects like the Easter collection drive, these Palm Coast students are learning the value of giving back while making a tangible impact on children facing serious health challenges.
