Pomona Park Woman Gets Probation for Defrauding Elderly Victims
A Pomona Park woman who targeted elderly victims in a theft and fraud scheme was sentenced to three years of probation Wednesday after pleading no contest to multiple charges.
Katie Swain, 32, admitted to stealing from seniors and using their personal information and credit cards without authorization. The case highlights ongoing concerns about financial crimes against the elderly population.

Sentencing and Restrictions
As part of her three-year probation, Swain faces strict conditions designed to protect vulnerable adults. She is prohibited from working unsupervised with elderly or disabled adults and must pay $236 in restitution to her victims.
Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly said Swain had abused a position of trust and authority. Detectives with the Flagler County Sheriff's Office investigated the case.
